Yane Marques (born January 7, 1984) is a modern pentathlon athlete from Brazil. She won the 2006 South American Championships as well as a gold medal in the 2007 Pan American Games, both held in Rio de Janeiro. This fact made her nationally known, because the sport was barely known to the Brazilian general public. Marques is 1st in the 2010 Brazilian rankings and became 3rd in the world in 2011.〔Júlio Delmanto (August 18, 2011) (Animada com 3ª posição no ranking mundial, Yane Marques espera nova medalha no Pan ). uol.com.br 〕 In the following year won the bronze medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics and now ranks 2nd in the modern pentathlon, preceded only by the 2012 Olympic winner, Laura Asadauskaitė of Lithuania.〔〔(Yane Marques conquista medalha olímpica de bronze inédita para o Brasil no pentatlo moderno ). uol.com.br.
